Route 77 is a universal crossroads. The title anchors in 1977, the year I was born, but its meaning reaches far beyond me. The raised grid on the left symbolizes the boxes we are all born into: families, circumstances, and histories that shape us before we even know who we are. For many, those boxes echo with addiction, abuse, and the excuses passed down through generations. They can feel inescapable, convincing us that we are destined to repeat the patterns we inherited.

Yet, across from that grid, stretches a rough, weathered expanse —a road uncertain, fractured, but open. A single yellow line cuts through it like a reminder: we have a choice. We are not forever bound to the boxes of our birth. The path, though difficult, is ours to create.

Route 77 is for everyone who has ever felt trapped by their beginnings. It is a declaration that we are not defined by what we were born into, but by the roads we choose to take. In the end, we do not become what broke us; we become who we decide to be.
